When to plant Erianthus ravennae seeds

I recently collected (with permission) some Erianthus ravennae seeds from the landscaping around my office. Is it too late to plant the seeds in my yard? How is the best way to go about planting them? I have a sunny slope in the front, and I would love to use Erianthus ravennae to create some privacy from the street.
