plant identity

I just had a pond/waterfall built in my backyard and the builder planted something next to it that he called a 'tibouchina'. It has round, kind of grey/blue fuzzy leaves, and woody stems. I can't find out anything about this plant online - not positive of the 'name'(sp). Any ideas?
