Cucumbers turn orange

My cucumbers are turning orange and smell green as if not ripening and are wall to wall seeds. I have never seen this before. I have a heavy clay soil and this is a new garden spot so I added garden soil peat moss and mulched and a little lime. Any clues. Did the lime do this or is it a disease. Any one know.
