trees that like lots of water/grow near streams/rivers at high elevation

I live at ~6200 feet elevation in Utah but have an area in my yard that tends to have a lot of water due to drainage from other yards. Does anyone know of any deciduous trees that would normally be found in areas of high elevation, but near water (i.e those that like a lot of water that may not drain very well)? Birch?
