lillies, bottom stalks turning brown

i have a lily bed of asian,oriental,daylily,orienpet, about 250 bulbs, three years old, in full sun, watered daily with sprinkler system. bottoms of almost every stalk is turning brown, bottom leaves are dry and appear dead. lillies are flowering, but I am concerned about the stalks. any suggestions?? thank you
