Indoor Grapes

I was thinking this spring of starting a grape vine trellesed up my banaster.

The location gets some direct sun and quite a lot of indirect sun, and has white walls, ceiling, and grey carpet - so I don't know that lighting will be a problem.

Is this a project even worth trying? If so, are there any "don't"s that can save me a lot of trouble?
