Mulch, Pine Straw, rocks(pebbles)
All of those are mulches but the Pine Straw, wood chips, shredded leaves, type of material would be much better for your soil than would be the rocks(pebbles) since they would all contribute organic matter to your soil while the rocks will not. So why do you need to blow the leaves, organic matter, off that area? Why not simply cover them with more Pine Straw, or something similar?
