Brugmansia grow best in soils that are well amended with organic matter so the soil is evenly moist but well drained in from full sun to part shade depending on how much sun. If the plant tends to wilt in the afternoon where it is may have too much sun for the plant. If the soil this shrub is planted in is well amended with organic matter it will not be necessary to feed it with a synthetic fertilizer that will contribute more to pollution than to the plant.
