Crop Rotation

Crop Rotation
Posted by KimmSr from MI-4a/5b on 2008-11-08 09:19:00

I have planted the same thing in the same place for years and have found no increase in either plant pests or diseases and I have corresponded with people all over world that tell me that they have seen problems greatly diminish once the soil is built up into a good, healthy soil. One correspondant in New Zealand states they could not grow tomatoes, because of Early and Late Blight when they first moved in but after a few years of getting the soil in balance they had no problems with those plant diseases. Seeing healthy crops, and animals, growing next to sick ones with the only difference being a good, healthy soil is what convinced Sir Albert Howard to write his books that really started the organic gardening movement.
