Want to start a co-op garden

I now groceris are getting really high so thought if I could get interest on my block to start a co-op garden, it would be good and help us all. I'm new at gardening and so I' looking for any and all advice. I was thinking, since I live in a neighborhood with medium size yards, if I could get everyone in the co-op to grow a different veggie, we'd be in good shape by sharing everything so it doesn't spoil.
