Canadian Gardening Advice

I am anticipating a move to British Columbia within the next year. A search of Amazon books and the internet has left me empty handed in trying to find information about organic gardening, planting schedules, local farms to purchase free-range meats, eggs, etc. Any resources that could be suggested would be much appreciated!
