be started from cuttings, but have
failed miserably in almost all of my
attempts. If someone knows a few of
the "details" of when to take cuttings,
what cutting to take, etc, etc, etc. I
really sure could use your solid sound
advice. Please post your replies, but
an email to be would be very much
appreciated. Thanks John

cuttings
Use rooting hormone. These all propogate easily from soft and hard wood cuttings taken in the spring after growth has started.

Propagating
Forsythia is simple since they tip root readily. Just bury a branch tip and peg it down and it will root.

The others need cuttings and the best book I've found on that subject is Geoff Bryants "Propagation Handbook, Basic Techniques for Gardeners". This will tell you how and when and how long.
