cover a sound wall
I live in Salinas, CA and want
suggestions on plants that will grow
quickly to cover an ugly 8' concrete
sound-wall. I want them to climb on
their own with no support. I have
heavy clay soil, face north-east, foggy
meditteranean-type weather.

Diann, I just came back from a visit in San Francisco, and saw Algerian Ivy (also called Canary Island ivy, a type of Hedera similar to, but larger than, English Ivy) growing over everything. It could be your answer! Are you familiar with it?
