Alas, there be no help for me! Our neighbors bamboo has spread everywhere. Is there a way to kill this stuff?

We have battled our out of control bamboo for a year and have found that cutting it off close to the ground(we use a weed eater)
then tilling up the roots and disposing of them is the remedy. Lots of hard work but you see results immediately.
