Philodendron

I'm sure everyone knows this except me, but, how do I, or can I, generate new plants from the shoots of this thing?
I tried putting the cutoffs in a vase of H20 but nothing happened.
Thanks

I actually just did this, it takes a few weeks for the cutoffs to root. Leave them in water, give them sun, and just wait. In alittle time, they'll be rooting.
