Aloe stress
Quoting Jesse: ------------
-I recently took some baby aloe plants
-away from another pot of aloes that I
-have. They are all growing a lot of new
-growth but it all turns purple after a
-few days. What can I do? Please
-respond to my e-mail adress with any
-helpful hints Jhoff123@hotmail.com
-Thanks a lot!
-Jesse
Jesse: Just in case you've received no replies via email....aloes will respond with that color when subject to stress, usually from underwatering. Since these were 'babies'/offsets...perhaps the sun is too strong for them at this point? Haworthias resemble aloes to some...and they do not appreciate the strong sunlight as much as aloes do. They will respond with a purplish/brownish color when the sunlight is too intense.
