This daylily performed well for me the first few years I had it. However, I switched its position in the bed the last time I divided the iris, and it has declined ever since. The flowers have been decidedly smaller, and the coloration less vibrant. In its defense, the weather hasn't been great since the move, with a couple of drought years. Hoping it recovers this year, as it does start blooming when others of similar coloration are winding down, giving the bed continuity.

I had this when I lived near the TX Gulf Coast. Didn't perform so well so left when we moved out of Hurricane country; it and the rest of the daylilies [I should have moved them all Sighing! ], big azaleas, etc were trashed by the buyer from satellite photos.
Life is better at the lake.

I've had GCB since April 2018. It came with a G Wild assortment and was pretty tiny so I didn't really see it bloom until 2020. But the blooms are very large and hard to miss, blooming for most of July here. The last two years, the plant has finally swung into action, reaching its registered stats. Last year, I counted 23 blooms but I know there were many more as I couldn't photo its location a number of days. At 7.5 inches, the flowers are a real presence!
